Machine Operator (Night Shift)

Machine OperatorRequired Skills & Experience: 1-3 years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment (plastics or extrusion strongly preferred). Ability to safely start up, set up, operate, and monitor production machinery with minimal supervision. Basic math skills for measurements, adjustments, and quality checks. Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule and stand all/majority of the time.Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Experience operating twin screw or single screw extruders.

Tow motor/forklift experience. Ability to perform light mechanical work. Minor equipment adjustments. Basic repairs (similar to automotive maintenance like changing brakes).Job Description: Insight Global is partnering with a manufacturing/engineering company in the Twinsburg, Ohio area to hire a Machine Operator.

Daily tasks include, but are not limited to: Set up, start, and operate extrusion equipment to produce thermo-plastic materials according to customer specifications and work orders, including loading raw materials, supporting the mixing and drying process, and feeding the extruder. Monitor machine performance, temperatures, feed rates, and control systems throughout the process (particularly within a twin screw, high-heat environment), and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Walk the production line to check equipment, identify defects or malfunctions, and ensure safe operations, stepping in to troubleshoot or shut down machinery when necessary. Collaborate with team members across the floor to support overall operations while maintaining a high level of focus and adherence to safety standards at all times.Compensation: $48,000 to $50,000 per year annual salary with guaranteed overtime each week and an additional quarterly & annual bonus incentive.
