Machine OperatorThe person we are looking for has a strong foundation in mechanical and analytical skills. A person with great judgment, initiative, and the ability to deal with complex machinery. The ideal candidate has experience working with and on machinery.Position SnapshotA machine operator is commonly expected to know how his/her equipment operates and be able to identify and repair simple mechanical problems like stalls or jams. Workers hired into this position will be trained to eventually operate various machines and learn processes related to manufacturing steel wire products.
To be successful in this role you will:Operate designated machinery to facility standards and production specificationsPerform necessary operator quality checks according to ASTM standardsConduct equipment inspections for proper operation and mechanical integrityAssist in the repair and maintenance of machines and facilities as requiredUse computer systems to track and document daily production activityAssist other operators as neededPractice safe work habits to reduce risk to as low as reasonably achievable.
