Machine Operator

Machine OperatorA Machine Operator is an individual who is responsible for learning to operate and maintain multiple machines in either the Production or Repack departments including but not limited to Serpa, Loader/Unloader, Depalletizer, Sleever, and Case Packer to support fluctuating production demands.Job Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm + OTResponsibilities:Ensure the safety and operation of all relevant machinery according to standardized operating procedures (SOPs)Responsible for startup and shutdown of all relevant machineryMaintaining accurate written production recordsPerforming laboratory tests and monitoring weight control of productsMaintaining sanitary equipment and environment for all relevant areasDisassembling and reassembling filler and associated equipment for cleaningClearly communicate to neighboring departments on current and upcoming production status so downstream operators can effectively maintain production output levelsTroubleshooting minor issues on all relevant machinery and escalates immediately to management or maintenance as needed to minimize downtimeUses a pallet jack to stock machine with required packaging materials supplied by material handlerOther production duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma or GED preferred.1 to 2 years of related experience and/or trainingMust have a mechanical aptitude and demonstrate abilities.Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsExperience within the food and beverage industry is preferredMust be able to work in a wet environment.
