Machine OperatorGeorgia-Pacific is looking for safety-oriented individuals to join our team as Machine Operator in Milford, NJ!Salary$24.25 per hour2nd shift differential is $1.50 per hour / 3rd shift differential is $2.00 per hourYou will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant.This role is eligible for our Performance Pay program that could offer up to a 6% quarterly bonus.ShiftCurrently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shiftOnly candidates who are available to work either shift will be considered.This may include overtime, holidays, and weekends.Orientation will be on 1st shift (7am-3pm), and you will be assigned your permanent shift approximately 30 days later.Milford operates on a point based attendance program.Shift Hours1st shift: Monday – Friday 7am-3pm; weekends and overtime as needed2nd shift: Monday – Friday 3pm-11pm; weekends and overtime as needed3rd shift: Monday – Friday 11pm-7am; weekends and overtime as neededOur TeamMachine Operators play an integral part in maintaining the success of the plant by providing coverage and support for various machine centers throughout the plant. We are just 20 minutes from Easton, PA; 20 minutes from Phillipsburg, NJ; 20 minutes from Quakertown, PA; 25 minutes from Bethlehem, PA; and 30 minutes from Doylestown, PA.What You Will DoOperate equipment to defined standards and product specification targetsMonitor and/or entry into computer control systemsTroubleshoot equipment to optimize productionPerform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work areaWork as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goalsOperate and/or work around mobile equipmentWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)6+ months experience operating production machineryAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writingKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenanceWhat Will Put You AheadExperience using a computer, tablet, or smart deviceOne (1) year or more experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environmentExperience working in the corrugated packaging industryOther Considerations/Physical RequirementsMaintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipmentPerform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environmentAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
