Machine OperatorThe Machine Operator prepares and stages composite materials for the production of carbon fiber parts, operates manufacturing equipment and tools safely and efficiently, and performs a variety of production tasks including layup, trimming, finishing, inspection, and packaging. This role follows detailed work instructions, specifications, and quality standards while accurately completing production and material documentation and supporting inventory, preventative maintenance, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and stage composite materials for the production of carbon fiber parts according to established procedures and specifications.Operate manufacturing equipment and hand tools safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all work instructions and safety guidelines.Perform layup, trimming, and finishing tasks to ensure parts meet required dimensions and quality standards.Inspect products and components for quality, identifying defects or nonconformances and reporting any issues to leadership promptly.Carry out packaging tasks to protect finished parts and ensure they are correctly labeled and ready for shipment or further processing.Follow detailed work instructions, specifications, and quality standards to maintain consistent and reliable production output.Complete production and material documentation accurately, including recording quantities, materials used, and process steps.Support inventory activities by helping track materials, reporting shortages, and maintaining organized work and storage areas.Participate in preventative maintenance by performing basic equipment checks and reporting any maintenance needs.Maintain a clean and orderly work area through regular housekeeping activities to support safety and efficiency.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and supporting implementation of new procedures.Essential SkillsAbility to operate manufacturing equipment and tools safely and efficiently.Capability to perform layup, trimming, finishing, inspection, and packaging tasks in a production environment.Basic proficiency with hand tools and general production equipment.Attention to detail to follow work instructions, specifications, and quality standards accurately.Ability to inspect products for quality and clearly report issues to leadership.Competence in completing production and material documentation with accuracy.Entry-level production skills with a willingness to learn and follow established processes.Demonstrated steady work history that reflects reliability and consistent performance.Additional Skills & QualificationsProduction experience is preferred and will help you adapt quickly to the role.Experience in general labor or general production environments is beneficial.Background in machine operating or packing tasks is an advantage.Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work area.Ability to support inventory control and preventative maintenance activities.Interest in participating in continuous improvement efforts within a manufacturing setting.Why Work Here?You will join a stable manufacturing organization that values consistent work history and offers a supportive environment for entry-level talent to grow.
