There may be times when training is conducted on non-preferred shifts.Shift assignment has not yet been determined and may be in any area.

Available shift schedules may include:1st Shift (Monday-Thursday) from 6:00am - 4:30pm2nd shift (Monday–Thursday) from 4:15pm – 2:45am3rd shift (Monday – Thursday) from 10:00pm – 7:30amAWW1 Weekend Day Shift (Friday – Sunday) from 6:00am – 6:30pmAWW2 Weekend Night Shift (Friday – Sunday) from 6:00pm – 6:30amSummary: Machine Operator(s) will be required to operate a variety of production machines within the designated business unit. The operator will be required to demonstrate key proficiencies which are required to become a certified machine operator.What You Will Do:Read and interpret work instructionsStrong computer skillsSet up and operate a variety of production equipment and measuring devices. Examples may include milling/grinding machines, furnaces, peening machines, part wash machines, coating machines, airflow/water flow machines, calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.Work from operation sheets, work instructions, part travelers, and oral instruction to set up equipment within the assigned business unit, involving a limited number of surfaces to be machined.Obtain operator certification to be able to accept/reject parts.Maintain machines by performing required total preventative maintenance (TPM).Work collaboratively with engineers, quality assurance, programmers and other production personnel or others to resolve machining problems and assist in part process development (if applicable).Frequently move about the machine line to operate various manufacturing equipment (approximately 90% of the time), bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, transport product and/or equipment weighing up to 10 poundsMay be assigned to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives.Basic Qualifications:HS Diploma/GEDU.S.
