Start your journey with OBE and help us build the future.Syracuse Glass!The Production Lead oversees daily production activities, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and meet quality standards. This role acts as a bridge between management and production staff, coordinating workflow, monitoring performance, and resolving issues to maintain productivity and deadlines.Key Responsibilities:Counsel, mentor, coach, and develop employees.Coordinate production workflow throughout the department and move resources as needed.Ability to communicate to opposite shifts to ensure proper shift handoffs.Ensure all crew members are prepared and ready for duty including having their proper PPE.Ability to enforce all company guidelines, standards, and policies including Safety & Quality.Ability to make quick business decisions such as adjusting/moving personnel, as needed to meet product requirementsPerform daily quality checksCross trained to safely operate all equipment and cover all positions as needed.Train department employees to safely and accurately perform tasks to predetermined standards.Notify management of equipment malfunctions and other potential safety issues.Maintain accurate production records, report issues, and suggest improvements.Assist in onboarding and training new team members on processes and safety.Address production delays, equipment malfunctions, and staffing challenges promptly.Physical Requirements:Stand and walk for entire shift on concrete, up to 12 hoursTwist, bend, stoop and kneelLift, push, pull and move up to 75lbs individually or 150lbs with a partnerGrasp, squeeze, hold/handle thin to thick metal, small & large itemsRequires reaching, handling and grasping while turning of upper body while moving and liftingVisual acuity to inspect product for various quality flaws and to ensure equipment is in safe working conditionProper wear of all required Personal Protective EquipmentWork in temperatures consistent with outdoor climate conditions and hot machinery (Heat, humidity, etc.)Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred).3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environment.Strong leadership and communication skills.Knowledge of production processes, safety regulations, and quality control.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Skills:Leadership and team managementTime management and organizational skillsProblem-solving and decision-makingTechnical understanding of machinery and production systemsFamiliarity with ERP or production tracking softwarePosition Pay Range$24 - $28 USDWhat OBE Offers YouBenefits that benefit you – industry competitive benefits at the lowest cost to the employeeWork-life balance – PTO and holidays, including floating holidays you can chooseCompensation that rewards your hard work – A pay-for-performance culture with potential for annual raises and bonusesTraining – We will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeedOBE Privacy PolicyOBE will not discharge or discriminate against employees or applicants for discussing, disclosing, or inquiring about their own or others' pay.
