Role Overview and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for loading materials into machines for production, adjusting machine speeds during production and inspecting the objects produced.Key responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.Operate automated component placement machines, which includes understanding the sequence of events, the control panel and indicators, and component replenishmentSet-up machines, make adjustments and perform component set-upComplete machine adjustments per the manufacturing instructions and standard operating proceduresUse the computer to load programs and perform other functions on the machinesApply basic computer user for finding stock locations, part availability, and "where used" inquiriesIdentify different component types and their polarity/orientation requirementsTroubleshoot and perform minor repairs for normal functioningFollow procedures for handling and storing moisture sensitive devices (MSDs)Identify work order, assembly number, and revision level of assembly from manufacturing instructionsDisposition NCM per appropriate proceduresPerform 1st piece work inspection of team membersPull parts from stockroom and overflow locations based on pick listPerform troubleshooting for normal functioningUtilize SDS sheets to review safety requirementsGeneral machine cleaning and upkeep and adjust machine for optimum performanceQualifications, Skills and AttributesQualifications to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability or increased ability to see color, or perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions.The team member is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not room temperature changes, there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to increase volume in order to be heard above ambient noise level. The team member is constantly exposed to high heat and chemicals and is required to safety glasses (90-100%).Safety is a core responsibility of this position. Team members are expected to perform all job duties in accordance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and established procedures. This includes wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), participating in safety training, immediately reporting unsafe conditions or incidents, and stopping work when unsafe conditions exist.
