Machine Operator IISet up/Changeover Technician – Production – provides machine set up- troubleshooting support to the production team. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality standards, while adhering to centerline information. Notifies production supervisor and maintenance of any mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment; recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of any operational -quality problems or supplies needed. Provides support to other areas within the production department as needed, including all other duties of MOII.Essential Functions:Support and abide by the company's safety program and all safety initiatives, policies and procedures.Report all injuries to the Supervisor immediatelyEnsure that work procedures are being followed in a consistent manner (Safety, Quality, GMP, MAV, HACCP)Know and Understand lock out/tag procedures in the departmentPerform safety inspections and be aware of all the safety points on the machines including LOTO pointsBe able to successfully perform setups on manufacturing machines following machine centerline informationUnderstand the differences in powders and be able to successfully perform the procedures associated with allergen and flavor cleansCommunicate with the appropriate Leadership if issues arise in regards to safety and/or quality issuesResponsible for filling out paper reports correctly and clearly (parts, allergen clean and material change sheets, safety audits, etc.)Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety shoes, safety glasses, bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, and nitrile gloves that are required for the departmentComplete monthly training coursesAbility to load, unload, move, count/pick, stack and stage product and materials using a sit down forklift, stand-up forklift, or other MHE as required.Responsible for performing a machine setup/changeover following production schedule –changeovers of assigned equipmentPerform the duties as MOII when requiredResponsible to adhere to setup/changeover schedule(s) as plannedValidate equipment / machine operation after a changeover/set up or extended downtimeRecommend updates/changes to production equipment -centerline to maintain maximum production and quality resultsPerform Root Cause Analysis on the machinesTrains new hires to ensure new talent share our valuesEnsure plant personnel practice safe work habits and follow safety rules.

Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): N95 Respirator, lab coat, safety shoes, safety glasses, bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, and nitrile glovesFocus on the details of the task at handAbility to Multi-taskPerform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Basic information of the positionAbility to read, write, and communicate in English fluentlyAt least 2 years of manufacturing or distribution operations experience requiredKnowledge of or familiar with GMP's/HACCPAbility to follow written and oral instructionsProficiently operate all line equipment and be Subject Matter Experts for multiple pieces of equipmentKnowledge of batch recording and material handling proceduresAbility to recommend corrective actionsBasic math skillsBasic computer skills (using High Jump and RF scan guns)Advanced SAP and other Software knowledge and responsibilitiesCertification on PIT to perform multiple tasks within a department (if required)Demonstrate the ability to begin the Root Cause Analysis processDecision Making/ Problem Solving: Independently make adjustments on the machines after training is completed Working with the maintenance department on improvements Changing parts of the machines to operate with different types of productsEducation/Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent preferredExperience in Food environment or Consumer productExperience and previous certification with operating PIT equipment (stand up/sit down forklift) a plusExperience using WMS or ERP system with RF scanning a plusPHYSICAL DEMANDS: (The work is classified as Light - Medium Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept. of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles.) Frequencies: Occasional (1-33%); Frequent (34-66%); Continuous (67-100%) Lifting Demands: Lift up to 55 lbs. on a frequent basis 6 inches off Ground to Waist. Lift up to 30 lbs.
