RWB is the preferred source for high-end pistons, engine blocks, cylinder heads, intake manifolds, connecting rods, crankshafts, clutches and other engine and driveline- related performance components.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesRead and understand product prints, set-up procedures, and processing parameters.Select machine tooling such as coiling points, pitch tools, and feed-rolls to produce various types of spring products.Select and load spring wire into machines with forklift; all wire is verified with micrometers & digital calipers.Produce and revise CNC program for optimum spring products, as needed.Produce trial parts from initial coiling setup to final operations to validate all processing steps prior to production runs.Verify product dimensions and performance with various types of inspection equipment and measurement tools.Maintain, adjust, and control machine during production to maintain high level of SPC quality per the print tolerances.Strive to optimize production speeds and quality.Recommend and review products with engineers, technicians, and coworkers for continuous improvement opportunities.Repair minor equipment issues.Record data relative to the quality of the springs/parts being produced.Install guards to conform to safety standards, if necessary.Ensure Quality, Safety and Environmental System requirements are followed.RequirementsHigh school diplomaPrior manufacturing experience with a minimum of six months of CNC machining experienceAbility to use and read calipers and micrometersBasic computer skills including Microsoft ExcelAbility to use a forklift and maintain forklift license and certificationAbility to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructionsPhysical Demands/Working ConditionsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
