Job TitleEssential DutiesOperate high speed filling and packaging machinesOperate other equipment, as neededFollow instructions/information on Job Tickets to perform dutiesMaintain accurate inventory of componentsAbility to move 55-gallon drum or 5-gallon pails, manually or with use of proper equipmentResponsible for checking quality and conformity of production throughout runSetup, change over, and clean up filling and packaging machines dailyMaintain mobile equipment certification and properly use equipmentFollow all safety, work, and good manufacturing practices, procedures, and rulesFollow all quality, housekeeping and inventory requirementsResponsible for workspace and safe operation of any assigned equipment, materials, items, and toolsAbility to make mechanical adjustments to machines using basic hand toolsMaintain recordkeeping requirements in written form and with use of computerProfessionally represent the companyPossess ability to be trained and to train others when neededPerform other duties as assignedEducation- ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent1-3 years prior machine operator experience that included making mechanical adjustments, using basic hand tools, and working with automatic and manual equipmentOther CompetenciesPossess basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot machines and perform minor repairs when neededAble to make basic math computations to perform role (addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, read ruler, read measures, calculate measurements)Excellent written and oral communication skillsPossess good interpersonal communication skillsAdapts to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected eventsAble to work in a repetitive, fast paced environmentAble to sit or stand at machine for long periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50 poundsMust be dependable, have good attendance and be punctualRepresent self professionallyAble to work overtime when job requiresWork EnvironmentMust be able to stand for a long period of timeMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsResponsible for workplace and any assigned equipment or materialsAbility to work in a fast paced, production environmentAble to work for long periods of time in an environment with exposure to heat, cold, or controlled chemicalsSafetyMust be capable of and willing to accept all work rules, safety and environmental instructions, policies and procedures, as it applies to the job.
