Machine Operator I (2nd Shift) JobThis is an entry level position under the direction of the Production Supervisor. A Machine Operator I work with frequent guidance from senior personnel within established procedures within the functional area of the metals or felt value stream. Responsible for the safe set up and operation of production machine(s) in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Clocks to and perform transactions in Shop-Trak; providing updates status on projects, material moves, and scrap for all operationsLoad, unload, receive, and store raw materials and suppliesPrepare machines to start a production cycle? performing calibration?

cleaning and other activities efficiently IAW quality standards and established safety proceduresUse computer aided manufacturing programs to monitors, controls, and adjusts machine settings while operating machinery and/or equipment, according to specificationsPerform periodic checks on machinery and/or equipment and solve problems as detected, trouble shoot issues that occur during shift, and maintain operator logsCompletes work as required to meet production and schedule requirementsPerforms minor repairs and routine preventative maintenance on machines to include cleaning scrap trays and filtersAssist peers and/or cross train on other machines/equipment as neededWorks with peers to Identify product defects and report necessary nonconformances to Supervisor, and/or Quality InspectorWorks with peers to coordinate movement parts and/or products to the next step operationFollows safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment as requiredMaintains equipment and work areas; cleans and performs basic repairs as neededQualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
