Machine OperatorNow hiring for a Machine Operator Location: Houston, TX Pay Rate: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour Schedule: 1st ShiftLooking for Machine Operator jobs in Houston where dependable work keeps production moving? This opportunity lets you operate manufacturing equipment, monitor product quality, and help produce consistent results in a safe, fast-paced production environment.Job DutiesSet up and operate CTL machinery, shears, and related equipment.Review work orders and verify material specifications, sizes, and production requirements.Load, position, and move materials using forklifts and overhead cranes.Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with customer specifications.Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed.Perform basic preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment cleaning, and minor repairs.Record production data, quality checks, downtime logs, and material usage.Assist with packaging, labeling, material handling, and maintaining a clean work area.Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.Experience Requirements2+ years of machine operation or manufacturing experience. Metal processing or CTL experience preferred. Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32? and use precision measuring tools. Strong math, measurement, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read work orders and follow written and verbal instructions. Good communication and teamwork skills. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred. Must pass equipment evaluation before operating independently.Preferred QualificationsPrevious machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.

Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Machine Operator.Physical CapabilitiesAbility to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
