The MSD Operator ensures parts meet quality, safety, and production standards.Essential FunctionsSet up and operate multi-spindle drilling machines to perform drilling operations on metal or other materialsRead, interpret, and follow blueprints and work ordersAdjust machine settings as needed to maintain performanceLoad and unload materials into the machineSelect, install, and adjust cutting tools, fixtures, and workpieces for proper machiningPerform machine tool changes and minor program adjustments as neededMeasure finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensional accuracyDuties and ResponsibilitiesMonitor machining operations to ensure quality and efficiencyPerform routine machine maintenanceMaintain the cleanliness of the areaAdhere to all safety rules, PPE requirements, and company policiesAnd other tasks assigned by supervision or managementEducation/ExperienceMust have a high school diploma or GED1-3 years' experience completing Machining tasksExperience in Manufacturing/fabrication specializing in the waterworks industry or relatedKnowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, Etc:Understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materialsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and work ordersAbility to use precision measuring toolsClear, concise, and accurate communication skillsAbility to prioritize effectivelyExcellent teamwork skillsBasic mathematicsBasic computer experienceAbility to pay attention to detailPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentAble to lift and move up to 45 pounds during a 10-hour shiftFrequently required to stand, bend, and lift during a 10-hour shiftMust be able to wear required PPE, including respirators and protective gearAble to work in various climate conditionsExposure to moving machinery, heavy materials, and grinding equipmentOvertime and weekend work may occasionally be requiredMust pass background and drug screen
