Machine OperatorUse chemically treated sand to produce sand molds for the production of aluminum castings.Job Responsibilities:Produce sand molds according to requirements, using semi-automated machinery and tooling providedMaintain machinery, patterns, hand tools, and other equipment in good conditionMaintain the Air-set mold line and surrounding work area in a safe and clean conditionLearn the basic technical and chemical principles governing the operation of the Air-Set molding linePerform job function wearing proper PPE as designated by the companyAble to safely and correctly operate hand and power tools and machinery, including forklifts, semi-automated material handling equipment, and overhead cranesParticipate in training and continuing educationPerforms other duties as assignedWork overtime as requiredRequired Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience:High School Diploma or GED Or, relevant work experienceAble to lift parts weighing in excess of 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in a bending, standing, or squatting positions for long periods of time (excess of one hour)Effective communication skills: verbal and written (English)Follow written and/or oral instructions in EnglishPreferred Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience:Pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts
