Machine OperatorThe Machine Operator at Lyon Metal Roofing's Piney Flats, TN location is a pivotal role responsible for operating machinery to ensure efficient production of metal roofing products. Reporting to the Plant Lead, this position requires adherence to Lyon Metal Roofing's core values and a proactive approach to cross-training and cross-operation across various equipment within the manufacturing process.Key Responsibilities:1. Operate machinery according to standard operating procedures to produce metal roofing products efficiently and safely.2. Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.3.

Monitor product quality throughout the production process, conducting visual inspections and making adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.4. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.5. Participate in cross-training initiatives to learn and perform tasks across multiple machines and production processes.6. Work closely with colleagues and the Plant Lead to coordinate production activities, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflow.7.

Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.8. Record production data, including output quantities, downtime, and quality issues, accurately and timely.9. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and machinery, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.10.
