Machine OperatorThis position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.3M HEBRON is seeking a candidate for ELASTOMER GRINDING OPERATOR.As an ELASTOMER GRINDING OPERATOR, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.Here, you will make an impact by:Collaborate effectively with production team members to achieve safety, quality, and productivity objectives.Support manufacturing operations by executing processes and initiatives that drive product quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.Develop technical knowledge and operational expertise to support training and mentoring opportunities as experience is gained.Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to support production and engineering objectives.Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute ideas through continuous improvement and employee suggestion programs.Follow established work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety requirements while maintaining product quality standards.To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications.High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environmentTraining or experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience participating in Kaizen events or continuous improvement initiativesPrevious Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) and/or forklift operating experienceExperience operating grinding, extrusion, or similar manufacturing equipmentExperience following standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements in a manufacturing environmentEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentDemonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsApplicants who meet the basic qualifications above will be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process.Work Location: 3M HEBRON, KYPay Transparency:The starting rate of pay for this position is $22.95 This wage represents a good faith estimate for this position.
