Build Skills That Grow With You.Elmet Technologies is hiring a 2nd Shift Machine Operator – Grinders & Saws to join our Metals team in Coldwater, Michigan.This is a hands-on manufacturing role working with equipment used to produce molybdenum bar products. You'll learn to set up and operate production equipment, measure materials, follow production orders, and keep materials accurately identified throughout the manufacturing process.You'll also have the opportunity to cross-train across multiple work centers, including saws, grinders, and lathes.You don't need to come in knowing every machine.

Elmet offers competitive pay, bonuses, benefits, and opportunities to grow.$20.50-$25.50 per hour, plus a 20% 2nd-shift differential$250 perfect-attendance bonus every month — up to $3,000 per yearQuarterly production bonus of up to 9%, based on company performance4% company match on retirement savingsBenefits starting Day OneThree medical plan optionsDental and vision coverageCompany-paid life insuranceCompany-paid short-term and long-term disabilityPaid time offPaid company holidaysTuition assistance$1,000 employee referral bonusInternal growth opportunitiesYour ScheduleThis is a full-time, 2nd Shift position at our Coldwater, Michigan manufacturing facility.You'll work as part of the Metals team and receive training to work across multiple production areas as your skills develop.What You'll DoAs a Machine Operator, you'll help turn raw material into finished molybdenum bar products using specialized manufacturing equipment.Depending on your training and production needs, you'll work with equipment including:Saws used for end trimming and order preparationLarge and small grinders, including centerless grindersManual mills and lathesThe original position is specifically designed for operators to work in more than one work center after receiving appropriate training.During a typical shift, you'll:Safely set up and operate assigned production equipmentMake sure equipment is set correctly for production requirementsFollow production orders and instructions from your supervisorAccurately identify and track materials throughout the production processConfirm completed production accurately in Global ShopWeigh, measure, and monitor materials as required for each processUse tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring toolsCheck your work for accuracy and qualityLearn additional machines and processes as you gain experienceAdapt to changing production needsKeep equipment and work areas clean, safe, and organizedRequirementsYou Could Be a Great Fit If You:Pay close attention to details and take pride in producing quality workHave basic math skillsAre comfortable learning how to set up and operate machineryCan follow production instructions carefullyAre willing to learn how to use tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring toolsCan learn and retain new processesCan adjust when production needs changeLike solving problems instead of simply passing them alongTake safety seriouslyCan work independently and as part of a teamA high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required for this position.Don't already know how to use a micrometer or caliper?
