Machine OperatorThis role involves operating multiple industrial machines in a large manufacturing facility in the Eastern Indianapolis area. You will set up and run equipment, use hand and power tools to change tooling, and perform quality checks to ensure all parts meet required specifications. The position requires working on 2nd or 3rd shift after completing a comprehensive training program on 1st shift.ResponsibilitiesOperate up to four industrial machines at a time while maintaining safe and efficient production.Use basic hand and power tools to change tooling and perform minor machine adjustments.Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to ensure correct part production.Use quality instruments such as calipers and other measuring tools to verify that parts meet quality specifications.Perform repetitive manual lifting and pushing of materials throughout the department.Document materials, batch numbers, and production data accurately according to company guidelines.Assist with mechanical assembly, press operation, laser operation, and other production tasks as needed.Identify basic mechanical issues and perform troubleshooting within defined procedures.Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety and quality standards.Stand and work on your feet for 8 to 12 hours per shift in a hot, but clean, production environment.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.A stable work history with 1+ year per job in previous roles.Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and operate various types of industrial machinery.Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively for tooling changes and basic adjustments.Ability to read and understand blueprints and production documentation.Experience using basic quality instruments such as calipers and other measuring tools.Capability to perform repetitive manual lifting and pushing of materials throughout the shift.Ability to withstand working in a hot environment while standing on your feet for 8 to 12 hours.Willingness to complete 6 to 8 weeks of training on 1st shift before moving to 2nd or 3rd shift.Reliability in following established safety, quality, and documentation procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with press operation, laser operation, or CNC machinery.Knowledge of mechanical assembly or machine operation in a high-volume production setting.Troubleshooting skills for identifying and addressing basic mechanical or process issues.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.Comfort working with multiple machines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Why Work Here?You will join a large, modern manufacturing facility that invests heavily in training and skill development. The environment is hot, but clean and well-maintained, with different departments housing various industrial machines, presses, and laser equipment. You will initially work on 1st shift for 6 to 8 weeks of training, Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, in a dedicated on-site Global Training Center that combines classroom-style learning with hands-on machine training.

After training, you will move to either 2nd shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday) or 3rd shift (10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday). Overtime is typically scheduled as 2 to 4 additional hours at the end of a shift, with occasional Saturday work communicated in advance. You will spend most of your time on your feet, working around industrial equipment, handling materials, and using hand and power tools and quality instruments such as calipers. The facility follows structured procedures for safety, quality, and documentation.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, IN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $ - $ /yr.
