We believe our employees are our greatest asset, we stand by our word, and we prioritize our customers above all else.Position OverviewThe Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring automated packaging equipment, including ACP, SCU, and Singulator machines, to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production. This role supports daily production goals while maintaining high standards for Safety, Quality, and Production.The Machine Operator performs equipment start-up and shutdown, loads production settings, monitors equipment throughout the production run, troubleshoots minor equipment issues, and completes required cleaning and end-of-shift procedures.

This position works closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to ensure equipment is operating properly and products meet quality requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment & Production OperationsStart up and inspect production equipment to ensure machines are clean, operational, and ready for productionSelect and load the appropriate production presets or recipesVerify equipment is properly configured for each production runEnsure sensors and equipment components are clean and functioning properlyStart, reset, and monitor equipment to maintain consistent productionTroubleshoot and respond to minor equipment issues, including jams and blockagesCommunicate equipment concerns or recurring issues to Production and MaintenanceSafety & QualityFollow all company safety, food safety, GMP, and quality proceduresVerify product expiration dates and obtain required Quality approval before loading productMonitor production to ensure products meet established quality requirementsFollow all required machine safety and equipment proceduresImmediately report safety, quality, product, or equipment concerns to leadershipMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area throughout the shiftProduct & Material HandlingMonitor reject bins and prevent overfillingRecycle, transfer, or dispose of rejected product according to established proceduresPack and organize remaining product at the completion of production runsReassemble pallets and organize remaining materials as requiredEnsure rejected materials and waste are handled and disposed of properlyEnd-of-Shift & Equipment CareComplete equipment draining and shutdown procedures at the end of productionEnsure equipment is properly cleared at the end of the shiftClean machines and remove remaining product and debrisPerform required routine equipment care and basic maintenance tasksLeave equipment and surrounding work areas clean, organized, and ready for the next production cycleQualificationsPrevious machine operator, production, packaging, or manufacturing experience preferredExperience operating automated production equipment preferredBasic mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issuesStrong attention to detail and ability to perform routine quality checksAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsStrong problem-solving and organizational skillsGood communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a teamAbility to work in a fast-paced production environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical training or certification is a plusWorking ConditionsManufacturing and production environmentRequires standing and walking for extended periodsRequires repetitive movements and frequent use of handsMust be able to perform routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance tasksMust be comfortable working around automated production machineryAbility to work flexible hours based on production needsWhy Join Qual Pac / Pro PacEstablished, stable company with over 50 years of successOpportunity to support production for a major national brandHands-on role with opportunities to develop technical and equipment skillsCollaborative, team-oriented work environmentCareer growth opportunities within a growing organizationApply TodayIf you are a dependable, safety-focused individual with mechanical aptitude who enjoys operating equipment and working in a fast-paced production environment, we encourage you to apply.
