Job DescriptionIchor Systems in Fremont, CA has an immediate opening for a Machine Operator - General Machine Shop helper for the weldment (stainless steel and aluminum fittings) manufacturing site. This role will perform basic machine set-up, deburr, polish, detail, DI wash, leak check and other shop floor support functions.Shift: 6am-2:30pm Monday through FridayResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform basic set-ups and operate machines in more than one assigned areaOperate complex equipment and machines in a safe mannerFit, align and adjust machines or assemblies to meet tolerances and product operating requirementsWork from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, and specifications Identify deviations that can potentially interrupt productivityLoad and unload various types of cleaning equipment, miscellaneous assembly, inspecting, alcohol wiping, swabbing, nitrogen dry parts, leak check, LPC testing, bag and tagOperate air and electric drivers, ultra sonic washProper use of required PPE. This includes coveralls, boots, hairnets/headcovers/face shields, gloves, etc.May work in a cleanroom environment all or part of the shiftMaintain logs and other necessary documentsWork with direct supervisionDesired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to recognize deviation from accepted practices, specifications, and work instructionsAbility to operate a variety of machinesBasic understanding of related mechanics, flow control elements, and MRP conceptsVisual acuity and manual dexterityGood verbal and written communication skillsGood teamwork skills and willingness to learn and help othersAbility to sit, stand, walk, bend, and push/pull/move/lift up to 50lbs safelyBasic computer skills for manufacturing documentation, email, and navigating basic ERP systemsComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting prioritiesSome work may be required in a Class 100 Cleanroom requiring full gown PPEDesired Education, Certifications, and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent, trade program in Welding Technology a plus1-2+ years of manufacturing or related work experience, welding a plusMay work in a cleanroom environment all or part of the shiftExperience with stainless steel and aluminum fittings, measuring devices and hand toolsPhysical Work EnvironmentManufacturing environment may be noisy, dusty, and have temperature variationsRequired use of PPE including safety classes, gloves, and other itemsMay work in a cleanroom environment all or part of the shiftMaintain logs and other necessaryFor candidates in CA, the pay range for this position is $19.33 to $32.84 per hour, non-exempt.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
