As a Machine Operator, you'll set up and operate machines, adjust for materials used, verify dimensional requirements, and transfer materials to storage areas.

This specialist works with unconventional materials, which requires specialized skills.Location: Pittsburgh, PAShift: Must be able to work any shift - will be steady after trainingWhat you'll do:Learns Visual Control BoardsLearns how to load drill programsLearn to communicate with Maintenance on KWLearns production logs and documentationLearns basic operation of KW controlsLearns basic operation of sand controlsLearns to manually jog KW componentsLearns how to match tickets to patternsLearns to adjust sand levelsLearns to perform visual inspections- vents, pattern breakages, serial # and sand stickersPlaces sleeves per standard workLearns to clean patternsLearns how-to put-on patterns properlyLearns to radio communicate with melt, work lead and supervisorLearns how to perform against documented standard workLearns autonomous maintenanceEngaged and motivated to meet commitments on work productLearns and uses correct PPE based on hazard assessmentInspect all PPE at end of each shiftInspect all tool and equipment at the beginning of each shiftSituational safety awareness of surroundings and other personnelMaintains a clean and orderly work area per 5S standardsFollows all corporate policies and proceduresUtilizes manufacturing's best practiceWhat you'll need:Must be able to lift up to 75lbsMust be able to follow a strict safety programMust have the ability to function and communicate in a team settingMust be attentive to detailMust be punctual, predictable, and have regular attendanceMust be able to stand for long durationsMust be tolerant to extreme temperaturesMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentMust have a good attitude and be adaptable to changesWorking Conditions:Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidaysAbility to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plantSafety Activities:Be aware of and observe all safety practices.
