Pay Rate: Starting at $21 per hour
Schedule: 3rd Shift | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | 12-hour shifts
Job Summary
Rely Workforce Group is hiring a Machine Operator - Extrusion in Charlotte, NC!
We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals to support manufacturing operations. This position involves monitoring extrusion equipment, inspecting finished products, maintaining quality standards, and assisting with daily production activities.
Manufacturing or extrusion experience is a plus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor extrusion processes and report equipment or product inconsistencies to supervisors.
* Remove finished rolls, replace them with new rolls, and prepare materials for production.
* Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
* Label, package, and prepare finished products for shipment.
* Load materials into production equipment as needed.
* Perform routine quality checks and respond to machine alarms.
* Maintain accurate production records and complete required checklists.
* Use forklifts to move products and materials.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
* Follow manufacturing safety procedures and supervisor instructions.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
* Ability to use measuring instruments.
* Manufacturing or extrusion experience preferred, but not required.
* Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
* Must be able to work 12-hour overnight shifts.
* Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
* Must be able to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
* Good hand dexterity and attention to detail.
* Ability to follow workplace safety and quality procedures.
Work Environment
This position is in a manufacturing environment where temperatures may vary depending on the season.
Required protective equipment includes safety glasses, hearing protection when necessary, and steel-toed shoes. Additional protective equipment may be required depending on assigned tasks.
