Machine Operator PositionManufacturing Co. located in far Northeast El Paso is looking for machine operators.
Responsibilities include:• Monitoring tile entering and exiting the kiln to ensure process is operating efficiently.• Minimizing equipment downtime by tending to equipment alarms.• Ensuring and placing glaze samples at entrance of kiln and communicating to the operator.• Performing roller changes when needed.• Collecting tile samples for lab and inspecting tile for defects.• Recording temperature of kiln every hour during shift.• Performing thickness, warpage, and size quality checks on tile to make sure that these are within specifications.• Inspecting tile for shade and visual defects.• Discarding defective tile into trash hoppers.• Monitoring efficient operation of automated palletizer.• Performing minor adjustments to equipment as needed.• Loading finished product by hand onto pallets for shipment (including boxes that bypass the automated palletizer and/or partial pallets).• Wrapping completed pallets and bands loads as required.• Scanning completed pallets into the auto-receiving system.Work Schedule:• Wednesday: 12 midnight - 6 am• Thursday: 6 pm - 6 am• Friday: 6 pm - 6 am• Saturday: 6 pm - 6 amPosition could become full time with the company. Salary: $13.00/hr.
