Machine Operator

Machine OperatorCoWorx is seeking an entry-level Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Ayer, MA. In this role, you will assist with operating fabrication equipment, reading blueprints, measuring finished products, performing basic machine adjustments, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Previous metal fabrication experience is preferred, but candidates with mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities:Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsReview specifications for operating sequence of machineLoads work pieces, operates, runs, and unloads machines to include but not limited to CNC, Press Brake, Laser, etc.Maintain specifications by tapping, pemming, drilling, grooving, milling, and cuttingAdjust speeds, feeds, and bend allowancesClean and maintain machine and toolingMeasure finished work to ensure conformance to specificationsLift work pieces, fixtures, etc.Maintains clean work area and participates in general housekeeping in departmentDetect malfunctions and troubleshootAdhere to all company policiesOther duties as assignedDesired Background/Skills:Ability to read blueprints requiredAbility to speak, read, and write English requiredBasic math skills requiredFamiliarity with various types of metal: Aluminum, cold roll, and stainless steel helpfulAbility to work for 8 hours standing, walking, reaching, and liftingHigh School Diploma or GED requiredDon't miss out on this excellent opportunity to join a hardworking, supportive team- apply with us today to get started!
