Machine Operator 3Machine Operator 3 will be responsible for setting up and operating various machines in the Steel Room including but not limited to CY-Laser, Brake Press, plus level 1 and level 2 duties, unless otherwise noted. Various hand tools may be required to smooth out imperfections. Machine Operator 3 will be able to use calipers, and/or micrometers.
They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.Duties and Responsibilities:Set up and operate machining equipment, including but not limited to the brake press, saw, etc.Read blueprints for specifications such as diameter, and other dimensions noted.Observe machine operating to ensure accurate cuts and catch any detects or malfunctions on steel to minimize waste.Pull and unload steel to/from machine with overhead crane.Ability to troubleshoot or problem solve any issues associated with machines.Perform self-quality checks (use of go/no go gauges, check sheets)Other duties as assignedQualifications and Education Requirements:High school diploma or GEDAbility to read a tape measure, basic shop math, and able to read a blueprint.Ability to use a tape measure and other measuring instruments.Basic written and verbal communication skillsComplete Bandit's crane and/or forklift safety trainingPhysical Requirements:Frequently stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bendRequires employee to work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.Frequently required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.Frequently lift 50 poundsOccasionally lift 60 pounds
