ISCO Industries is an end-to-end piping solutions provider that specializes in HDPE, working with leading edge technology that makes us a market leader.Position SummaryThe Machine Operator will fabricate and assemble polyethylene pipe (HDPE) to create a variety of customized structures such as; fittings, valves, T's, Y's, elbows, aqua-shields, geothermal vaults, manholes, dual containment units, pumps, gas aeration lines and similar structures that meet customer specifications by performing the following duties:Read and interpret blueprints, product drawings and pic ticket orders to determine the materials, tools and equipment needed to complete workFollow quality control procedures when fabricating and assembling products per customer specificationsMaintain accurate records of materials used on "ticket"; locate and pull required materials from inventorySustain clean work area and equipment; follow safety procedures concerning use of equipment and materials for safe working conditionsOperate ISCO's fusion and fast fusion equipment, cranes, and forkliftsUtilize a variety of hand tools, saws and cutting equipmentPerform other related duties as assignedBase Qualifications and CompetenciesEducation, Training and Experience:High School diploma or GEDKnowledge and application of tools used in: welding, fusing, cutting, and measuringUnderstanding of carpentry and hand toolsRead and comprehend safety rules, operations, maintenance, procedure manuals, and blueprints/drawings for fabricationUnderstand/perform math functions of basic geometry, fractions, percentages and ratiosInterpret technical instructions in mathematical and diagram formProficient use of business email and basic internet usageRequired forklift certification and experiencePrior fabrication experience and fusion qualification preferredPhysical DemandsOccasionally exerting up to 50 pounds of forceRegularly exerting 10 pounds of force to move objectsRequired to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feelFrequent stooping, crouching, reaching, and walkingConstant talking, hearing, and seeing with close visual acuityNo travel required.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
