Machine OperatorThe Machine Operator sets up, runs, and closely monitors production equipment to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality output. This role loads raw materials, adjusts machine settings, inspects finished products, and palletizes envelopes, while maintaining accurate production records and a clean work area.ResponsibilitiesSet up, calibrate, configure, and prepare machinery according to daily production schedules and technical specifications.Load raw materials into machines and monitor equipment throughout operations to ensure smooth and continuous production.Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications.Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and defects, taking corrective action when necessary.Palletize envelopes and finished goods onto pallets in an organized and secure manner for further handling and shipment.Troubleshoot machine issues, clear jams, and perform minor repairs or tool changes to minimize downtime.Document production data, material usage, and output metrics accurately and in a timely manner.Maintain good housekeeping standards by keeping the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while operating machinery and handling materials.Collaborate with team members on the production line to support efficient workflow and meet production targets.Essential SkillsHands-on experience with machine operation in a production or general labor environment.Ability to set up equipment, including calibrating, configuring, and preparing machinery based on production schedules and technical specifications.Strong attention to detail when monitoring machines and inspecting finished products.Troubleshooting skills to identify machine issues, clear jams, and perform minor repairs or tool changes.Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for production and quality checks.Comfort with general production tasks, packaging, and palletizing materials.Capability to document production data, material usage, and output metrics clearly and accurately.Commitment to maintaining good housekeeping and a safe, orderly work environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience as a machine operator or in general production is highly beneficial.Familiarity with quality control practices in a manufacturing or packaging environment.Ability to work effectively on a multi-person production line and adapt as staffing levels change.Willingness to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment with machinery noise and production odors.Reliability and strong work ethic with a focus on meeting production goals and deadlines.Why Work Here?Employees have access to a comprehensive benefits package that begins on the first day of conversion, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options. Large fans are planned to be installed to improve air circulation. The production area operates multiple machines, initially with four people per line and eventually transitioning to two people per line. The environment includes typical machinery noise that is not excessively loud, and there is a noticeable glue-like smell in the air due to production processes. Employees work around industrial equipment, handle raw materials, and are expected to maintain good housekeeping standards to keep the area clean, organized, and safe.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corona, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
