An AISC Certified Fabricator, they work with General Construction, Marine Construction, Renewable Energy, Space and Defense, and other industries with a need for metal fabrication and specialized custom equipment.We are looking for a reliable and skilled CNC Machine Operator to support our machining operations. This role is ideal for someone with several years of CNC experience who can independently run machines, perform setups, and maintain high-quality production through precision machining and fabrication processes. You will work closely with leads and engineers while contributing to daily production goals.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery, including CNC lathes, milling machines, and CMM inspection equipment. Our shop utilizes Mastercam and Haas mills and lathes for machining as well as Verisurf software for our FARO Arm and a Laser Tracker for quality inspection.What you get to do:Operate CNC mills, lathes, or other machining equipment in a production environmentOperate and monitor CNC machines such as CNC lathes, milling machines, and CAM programming systems to produce parts according to specificationsPerform machine setups, including tooling changes, work holding, offsets, and program loadingProgram CNC equipment utilizing Haas and Fanuc controls and other programmable logic controllers to optimize production runsRead and interpret detailed blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical documents to ensure accurate machining and assemblyPerform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtimeSupport quality control processes by inspecting parts for defects or deviations from specifications using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring toolsAdjust machine settings, offsets, and tooling as needed to maintain accuracy and qualityIdentify and troubleshoot machining issues to minimize downtimeComplete production documentation, logs, and quality formsFollow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work areaCollaborate with leads, engineers, and team members to meet production goalsQualifications:Proven experience operating CNC machines in a machining or manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, cutting speeds, feeds, tolerances, tooling setup, and materials handlingAbility to read and interpret blueprints and measurement toolsLoad and adjust CNC programming (G-code/M-code)Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Autodesk)Experience with HAAS, Fanuc, controlsPerform quality checks using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision toolsAbility to follow safety protocols diligently while working around machinery and fabrication equipmentExperience:2 or more years of machining experience in setup, and operating CNC equipment Completion of technical training in machining; or related experience and/or trainingFamiliarity with Haas mills and lathesWorking with CMM inspection equipment and software is a plusWork Environment:Ability to lift 50 poundsMust be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, sit, stand, and walk for the entire shiftManufacturing shop environment with noise, machinery, and manual material handlingPPE required hearing protection, vision protection and other appropriate protective clothingThere is exposure to machine oil, metal, plastic and wood particles, unpleasant odors, and noiseJob functions on and around equipment will present the need for alertness, accuracy, and safety awarenessSchedule: Full-time, Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts, and may require overtime workPay: $26.00 - $36.00 (DOE)Double the Reward Referral Program Do you know someone seeking employment or exploring new career opportunities?
