General Machine OperatorWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will operate manufacturing equipment used in the production of automotive components, ensuring products meet strict quality and specification standards. This is a hands-on, fast-paced production floor role suited for someone who thrives in a structured manufacturing environment and is comfortable with an extended workweek.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and monitor assigned production machinery according to standard operating proceduresLoad and unload materials/parts into machines safely and efficientlyPerform routine quality checks throughout the production process to catch defects earlyMonitor machine performance and report malfunctions or irregularities to a supervisor or maintenance teamPerform basic troubleshooting and minor adjustments to keep equipment running smoothlyMaintain accurate production records, including output counts and quality check resultsFollow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment)Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S or similar workplace standardsMeet or exceed daily/shift production quotas without sacrificing qualityWork collaboratively with team leads and fellow operators across shiftsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred, but not requiredPrior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus, but not required — on-the-job training providedAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasksAbility to lift up to 40-50 lbs as neededBasic mechanical aptitude and attention to detailReliable attendance and punctualityAbility to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to work an extended schedule (see below)Schedule & Compensation DetailsBase pay: $15.00/hour — average $17.50/hr blended with overtimeAverage hours: 58 hours/week (includes scheduled overtime)
