CNC OperatorWe are seeking a dependable CNC operator to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of operations. Top candidates will be detail-oriented and have an above-average aptitude for trigonometry, geometry, and algebra. Additionally, possess analytical, time management and communication skills, and a willingness to learn and lead by example.CNC Machine Operator SkillsReads and interprets work orders and blueprints (materials, specifications, and geometric dimensions and tolerances or GD&T) to machine products accuratelyPerforms inspections of equipment, structures, materials and productsPrepares and loads raw materials and parts onto the machinesMonitors the machines while they execute the tasks and makes any necessary adjustments to produce a better resultUtilizes precision measuring tools to inspect and measure products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properlyDocuments actions by completing production and quality logsChecks and maintains machinery daily to ensure functionalityMaintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsMaintains clear and honest communicationLearns and applies the latest relevant knowledge to the workPossesses ethical behavior, attention to detail, self-motivation, precision, and enforces quality standardsCNC Operator RequirementsTrade School Certificate required.Machining Trade School Certification preferred.Up to 2 years of relevant experience in a machining or manufacturing rolePrevious experience with Mazak (lathes & mills), Okuma (lathes), Haas (mill), Citizen (Swiss) is a plusComputer savvy and familiarity with programming and interpreting CNC software is a plusExperience utilizing a tow motor is a plusStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities are a plusCapable of setting up mills and lathes by installing fixtures, attachments, and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications is a plusCapable of programming the machine by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, calculating requirements, and proving part programs is a plusDISCLAIMER: The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
