Machining OperatorPosition Summary: Monitors a set of automated CNC machining lines to produce aluminum alloy billets for forging presses.
Key Responsibilities:Ensure equipment is operating within specified parameters.Material handling requiring use of forklift and overhead craneEnsure quality is maintainedMake offset adjustments if necessaryFill out required production documentsChangeoversMaintain clean/organized work areaPerforms other duties as requiredSkills & Competencies:Ability to work both independently and as a team.Ability to read and comprehend basic EnglishAbility to follow instructionsBasic troubleshooting and problem solving.Basic computer skillsBasic math skillsAble to use measuring devices such as calipersAbility to identify nonstandard situations and respond accordingly.Education & Experience:High school degree or GED equivalence.Experience in operating CNC machined is preferredCrane and forklift experience preferred.Work Environment & Physical Requirements:Requires constant physical activity throughout shift such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.Flexible work schedule as needed with adequate notification.Always maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment.Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environments.
