Machine Operator — PackagingWe're hiring a dependable Machine Operator to support packaging operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role operates packaging equipment, maintains quality standards, and helps ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently.Operate and monitor packaging and production equipmentPerform equipment setups, changeovers, and minor adjustmentsPackage products to required specifications, including weight and labelingMaintain accurate production and quality documentationInspect packaging materials and report quality issuesIdentify and separate product requiring reworkPerform basic preventive maintenance and minor repairs as assignedKeep work areas and equipment clean and sanitaryEnsure GMPs and safety standards are followed at all timesSupport and assist packing team membersCommunicate daily production needs with supervisorsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredManufacturing or warehouse experience preferredAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsStrong attention to detail and qualityReliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shiftAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsFrequent bending, lifting, reaching, and climbingAbility to lift and carry up to 75 lbs repeatedlyComfortable working around machinery and moving equipmentManufacturing/production setting, work near moving mechanical parts and machineryPPE required (safety glasses, gloves)Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
