Machine Operator AssistantBaxter Springs, KSCompensation IncludesStarting Pay Rate of $17.43 - $19.99/hour - depending on experienceAvailable Shifts7pm - 7am, Wednesday - Friday & every other SaturdayOverviewProduce product using high-speed printing equipment in compliance with Safety Programs and Quality Assurance Systems to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.ResponsibilitiesAssist and function as back-up to Machine Operator to produce quality product at target machine speeds using safe work practicesRead & understand Production Order Packet (POP); prepare all machine components for productionRead, understand, and correctly complete daily paperworkFollow designated procedures to requisition or return components & materials, inspect components & materials, install components & materials, complete pre & post production activitiesAssist with set-up and/or change over activities within allotted timeParticipate in Preventative Maintenance Activities as assignedMaintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly conditionComplete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & proceduresActively engage in safety programsEffectively communicate with team members across shiftsAssist and train other team members as neededQualificationsMinimum of six months experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably with a high-speed processCommitment to an accident-free and drug-free workplaceQuality-conscious, oriented to excellenceStrong work ethic evidenced by enthusiasm, positive attitude, and high energy levelWell-developed problem-solving skills; creative, out-of-the-box thinkerWillingness to work overtime as neededPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
