Machine Operator/Utility WorkerThe Machine Operator/Utility Worker supports manufacturing operations by blending materials, operating production machinery, managing inventory, and performing quality control tests. This role provides press-side technical support, follows all safety requirements, and contributes to housekeeping and reporting activities to ensure efficient, high-quality production.Responsibilities:Blend materials according to established production specifications and procedures.Operate production machinery safely and efficiently, including setup, monitoring, and basic adjustments.Handle inventory control tasks such as tracking materials, organizing stock, and supporting shipping and receiving activities.Perform quality control tests to verify product consistency, accuracy, and adherence to standards.Provide press-side technical support to troubleshoot minor issues and maintain smooth production flow.Follow all safety requirements, guidelines, and procedures at all times while working on the production floor.Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas, keeping equipment and surroundings clean, organized, and free of hazards.Complete monthly reporting and documentation related to production, quality, and inventory as required.Operate sit-down forklifts to move materials, products, and supplies safely and efficiently.Assist with assembly and packaging tasks to prepare finished products for shipment.Support shipping and receiving operations by loading, unloading, and verifying materials and products.Essential Skills:Ability to operate production machinery and equipment safely and reliably.Experience with sit-down forklift operation and material handling.Knowledge of basic inventory control processes, including tracking and organizing materials.Ability to perform inspections and quality control tests with attention to detail.Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently as part of daily production and material handling tasks.Ability to match colors effectively and successfully pass a color vision test.Excellent written communication, reading comprehension, and basic math skills.Demonstrated customer service skills when interacting with internal teams and external partners.Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (MS Office) programs and general computer skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience with assembly and packaging in a production or warehouse environment.Background in shipping and receiving operations, including loading, unloading, and verifying shipments.Familiarity with inspection processes and documenting quality results.Comfort working in a manufacturing environment that may experience temperature variations.Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and support monthly reporting.Why Work Here?Employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that supports their well-being and financial security, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, pet insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, long-term care, 401(k), and more. The facility is somewhat clean, with established processes to keep work areas orderly and safe, though the age of the building may be noticeable. Temperatures can vary, and it may get hot in the summer and cold in the winter, so employees should be comfortable working in changing seasonal conditions. Work is performed on the production floor around machinery, materials, and forklifts, requiring adherence to all safety procedures and appropriate work attire suited for a manufacturing environment.Job Type & Location:This is a Permanent position based out of Appleton, WI.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
