Machine OperatorReports to: Manufacturing SupervisorShift: Day shift and night shifts available!Job SummaryThis position is responsible for operating a variety of machines and equipment in our manufacturing facility.

The roles are including but not limited to Automat Operator, Bailing Operator, Labelling Operator, Knitting Operator, Lamination Operator, Applicator Operator, Slitting Operator, Wicketer Operator, Converting Operator, Ink Technicians, and Print Press Assistants.Essential DutiesOperate various machines and equipment to manufacture products according to established procedures and quality standardsMonitor machines during operation to ensure that they are functioning correctlyInspect finished products to ensure that they meet customer specifications and quality standardsTroubleshoot equipment issues and make minor repairs as neededMaintain a clean and safe work areaFollow all safety protocols and regulationsParticipate in lean initiatives and identify opportunities for efficienciesPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisorRequired Skills and AbilitiesAbility to read and interpret schematics and technical documentsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsBasic mathematical skills including understanding measurementsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accuratelyGood communication skills and ability to follow directionsAbility to work a 12-hour rotating shift that varies by location 36/48 bi-weekly breakdownEducation and ExperienceBasic math and reading skills normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma OR equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment operating machinery is preferredPhysical RequirementsMust be 18 years of age or olderStanding and walking 90% of the shiftAble to regularly lift 60 lbs.Be able to lower rolls of plastic film to the floor and pick them up with a power lift (150 to 225 lbs.)Be able to handle, grasp, and perform repetitive motionsHave eye/hand/foot coordinationMust be able to work in temperatures ranging from 60 degrees to 90+ depending on the season and the departmentRequires the ability to see, hear, touch, and smellWorking in a manufacturing environmentBenefitsAs a family-owned and operated company, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you and your family.
