Annually, Data-Mail produces and mails over 1.5 billion pieces of direct mail.WHY WORK AT DATA-MAIL:Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, Long Term Disability, life insurance and 401(k)Paid Time Off, Paid HolidaysWeekly payroll cycle12-hour continuous rotational schedule 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. 4 days on 4 days offEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist the first press operator in the job setup, as follows:Review job ticketsSet up paper for the production of a jobChange cylindersHang plateChange blanketInstall perfs, scores and die cutsPlace pinfeedSetup all finishing aspects of the press, to include roll-to-roll and sheeterAssist in the production of a job, as follows:Maintain proper ink and ink levels in fountainMaintain fountain solutionSupply paper as indicated on job ticketRecord paper usageAssist in the inspection of the quality of print, including:ColorRegisterFree of imperfections, such as, dry up, hickeys, broken type, etc.Ensure the samples are of the best quality possibleRunability in other departments, to include throw length and pinfeed position; perf and score strength; fanfold.Assist in paperwork associated with job productionMaintain silicon/anti-stat levels during a sheeter runWash up press at the end of jobWork on 6-color press, as required, as part of the training process for becoming a 6-color press operator.Communicate, as needed, press maintenance, supply and safety issues to shift supervisor.Maintain a clean work environmentMix inks, as needed.Drop paper, as needed.Operate press in the absence of the first press operatorComply with company rules, regulations and standard operating procedures.Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve quality and operating efficiency of the department.Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.Perform other related duties, as required, to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.Education/ExperienceTrade school, high school or GED preferred plus 1-2 years of experience on offset presses or equivalent.CompetenciesTechnical/mechanical aptitudeQuality consciousDetail orientedKnowledge of computersAbility to read and write English
