Machine Operator CThe Machine Operator C produces quality products according to provided specifications and equipment.This job description lists major areas of responsibility and additional job activities may be added at any time.Shift: 3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:00amDuties and Responsibilities:Ability to operate numerous types of equipment with high productivity and quality levelsAbiding by all safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employeesSafely operating stamping presses, assembly and machining equipmentProficient in using PLC (programable logic controller), loading and unloading machines, detailed inspections, ability to use measuring devices and gauges to check tolerances within several thousandths, and final assembly and packaging (box construction, label placement and taping) of productsAbility to work on a raised platform safelyAbility to operate a computerPerforming repetitive operations according to provided work instructionsUsing fixtures, jigs, hand tools as necessary, to ensure proper position and/or movement of components and partsBeing alert to detect obvious defects and taking necessary measures to correctProactively working with team members to meet production goalsOther duties and projects as determined by business and production needsPerforming in process quality checks as requiredEducation and Experience Requirements:High School diploma, or equivalent, preferredDisplaying great attention to detailAbility to follow oral and written communication skillsAbility to read and understand provided work instructionsBasic math skillsPhysical Demands & Work Environment:The employee may be required to frequently lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusProlonged standing of eight or more hours a dayFrequent walkingOccasional bending, crouching, twisting, reachingEmployees may be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain work cellsPhysical and Weight Lifting DemandsThe physical and weight lifting demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
