This is a potential to hire opportunity on 3rd shift.Machine Operator Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Read activity board for scheduled color changes, conversions, and set-upsCreate, label, and number boxesRead shop order for product requirements and verify box label matches productAnswer bells, check for stuck parts, and use Process Monitor on pressClean machines after completing production activities and to maintain efficiencyWhen necessary, operate emergency stops on closing machines, grinders, auxiliary equipment and understand lock out/tag out procedureOperate and maintain all types of manufacturing equipment; at times, operate several machines at once to relieve for breaks/lunchExamine and discard defective goods and packaging components; rummage through product to look for gross defectsMonitor the machine operations to see that the finished product and components are adequately matching the quality and quantity constraintsSupport and adhere to all system procedures and company policies/proceduresCommunicate any gross defects to the technical team and communicate any problems or issues with the other team membersMachine Operator Requirements:Ability to lift up to 30 pounds throughout shiftGood hand eye coordination, excellent dexterity, and demonstrate mechanical aptitudesAbility to distinguish colors as evidenced by a maximum score of 80 on the Farnsworth-Munsell Color TestAble to stand, sit, bend, and twist the entire shiftGood written and verbal communication skills in EnglishMust be able to work effectively in a team and communicate with othersAbility to perform mathematical averages and understand decimalsIND022 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
