Machine Operator – 3rd ShiftLocation: Fletcher, NC 28813 Pay: $18.00/hr + $2.00/hr Shift Differential Job Type: Full-Time Shift: 3rd ShiftJob Summary: As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating multiple production machines, performing quality inspections, and ensuring products are manufactured safely and efficiently. Candidates with machine operating, production, or metal manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply.Schedule Training (1st Shift) Monday – Thursday 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM Regular Schedule (3rd Shift) Monday – Thursday 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM Overtime: Fridays as neededResponsibilities: Set up, operate, and monitor multiple production machines. Load raw materials and unload finished products. Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments to maintain production. Perform routine quality inspections using measuring tools and visual inspections. Identify and report machine malfunctions, maintenance needs, or safety concerns. Accurately record production, scrap, and labor information using the ERP system. Package finished products for shipment or the next stage of production. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S practices. Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and work instructions. Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. At least 1 year of manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
Experience working in a metal manufacturing environment is a plus. Ability to safely operate multiple machines while maintaining production quality. Basic computer skills for production reporting and ERP data entry. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products. Good problem-solving and time management skills. Ability to read work instructions and follow production specifications. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a 10-hour shift. Frequently bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive movements. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment in a production environment. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
