Machine Operator - Wood Department (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Greenville, WI
Pay: $19.10/hour
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM (3-day weekends!)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our Wood Department. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a consistent weekday schedule and the potential for long-term placement. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times
* Operate a variety of production equipment
* Inspect product quality using measuring tools such as calipers and rulers
* Accurately complete written production reports
* Sort boards in the end board sorting area
* Perform additional duties as assigned
* Report production activities and issues to the supervisor
Qualifications:
* High school diploma, GED, or HSED (or equivalent experience)
* Basic math skills, including decimals and reading measurements
* Experience using calipers or similar measuring instruments preferred
* Basic reading and writing skills
* Willingness to become forklift certified if needed
* Ability to work overtime as required
* Strong attendance, dependability, and a positive attitude
* Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and work independently
