Machine OperatorAVANTech, LLC solves some of the most challenging problems in the water industry – from being first responders to the Fukushima Nuclear Plant meltdown to implementing patented first-of-its-kind technology. Our projects include industrial water recycling and cleaning up legacy cold war wastewater at government sites. AVANTech's goal is to improve the environment around us and support our clients with innovative sustainable water treatment solutions.The machine operator will prepare production equipment for operation by making equipment setup adjustments, assisting with equipment changeovers.Maintains machine operation by solving production process problems, reporting production and quality data, reporting decisions made, and referring questions to the supervisorEnsures operation of equipment by following preventive maintenance policies and procedures, reporting needed changes and repairs as neededMust have ability to read orders, blueprints, and mill schedules to determine setup specifications, work sequences, product dimensions, and installation proceduresAbility to ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards is criticalQualifications:Minimum 2 years of water jet, brake press, or using a plasma or laser tableAttention to detailAbility to identify and resolve problems quicklyResponsiveness and adaptability to changes in the work environmentSolid math skills and knowledge of sophisticated measuring and testing equipmentMust understand pneumatic and hydraulic systems as they relate to fixtures and machinesRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent - additional education preferredManufacturing environment experience preferredRequires lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting for extended periods, standing for extended periods, reading and walkingAbility to work with multiple prioritiesCandidate must be able to pass drug test, background check, and physicalMust be able to work with safe working practicesPerks:Varied insurance offerings with company matchProfessional development opportunitiesPositive and supportive work environmentThis is an hourly, non-exempt position.
