Machine Operator - 2nd ShiftSet up and operate sheet metal fabricating machines, such as press brakes, shears, turret punch presses, saws, and presses, to cut, bend, and form sheet metal according to blueprints and specificationsJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environmentExperience in a manufacturing environment is a plusPerform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipmentOperate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stopsCommunicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materialsPerform the above within acceptable quality, quantity, performance, and safety standardsMaintain valid forklift/stand-up license- including completion of daily fork truck maintenance log and proper maintenance of equipmentWorking knowledge of ERP/MRP and bar code scanners systemsResponsible for maintaining inventory record accuracy through accurate stock transfers and cycle countsTransports materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to pallet jack, forklift, stand-up and/or pac muleMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Math skills including converting fractions to decimalsAbility to read a tape measureAbility to read a blueprint or be trained to read a blueprintProblem solving skillsCapable of lifting 50 pounds and sliding 100 pounds without assistanceClean department and maintain neatness in the surrounding work areasAttention to DetailTeamworkWork IndependentlyMultitaskOur people are our greatest asset, and your success is our success!
