This role ensures that machines run efficiently, safely, and produce high-quality components according to specifications. The operator must be able to perform complete setups, conduct quality inspections, and make necessary adjustments to maintain production standards.Key Responsibilities/DutiesPerform all machine operations, including complete setup, in accordance with company standards.Set up and operate various machines (e.g., roll formers, press brakes, shears, punch presses) used in cable tray manufacturing.Use measuring tools such as tape measures and micrometers to verify product dimensions and make machine adjustments as needed.Identify and set up equipment, including jigs and fixtures, for specific machines and production runs.Recognize and identify different types of materials used in production.Understand and select the appropriate tooling for each machine; identify when tooling requires replacement or repair.Keep tooling organized and stored in designated areas.Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.Lubricate machines, perform routine oil checks, and report any mechanical issues.Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.Adapt to changes in production schedules, tasks, or processes as needed.Perform other duties as assigned to support production operationsRequired Qualifications/ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsSkilled in using hand tools, grinders and precision measuring toolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safetyPreferred QualificationPrevious experience operating industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.Competencies/SkillsAttention to detailTeam collaborationProblem solvingAdaptabilityTechnology and EquipmentBasic computer literacyAbility to documentWorking Conditions/Physical RequirementsExposure to noise, dust and metal particlesConditions may be hot or cold depending on season and machineryLift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks as requiredPersonal Protective Equipment is required based on area/machine/job
