CNC Machine Operator - DaysThe CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for learning to operate 3-axis CNC Mills and Lathes, inspecting parts for quality, selecting programs based on production orders and blueprints, and eventually performing machine setups and tooling changes. This role involves training focused on high-volume production machining of components manufactured from iron, brass, stainless steel, aluminum, and occasional plastic materials.ResponsibilitiesLearn to safely operate CNC Mills and Lathes in a production environment.Produce high volumes of machined parts while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.Load raw materials into machines and unload completed parts.Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and part diagrams.Select and verify machine programs based on production orders and part specifications.Perform basic machine adjustments under supervision.Learn to change cutting tools, inserts, and tooling components.Assist with machine setups and eventually perform setup activities independently.Essential SkillsAbility to read blueprints.Proficiency with calipers and micrometers.Ability to read a tape measure and use measurement tools.Mechanical inclination.Willingness to learn new skills.Experience with lathes, mills, and CNC setups.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience using hand and power tools.Ability to perform set up and change over tasks.Experience in machine operation and measuring.Why Work Here?The company offers a clean, climate-controlled work environment and provides opportunities to contribute to making products that support first responders and firefighters.
