Job TitleJob Responsibilities & Requirements A Brief OverviewOperate stamping presses and auxiliary equipment producing metal connector plates and steel components with manual and automated packaging processes. Ensuring safety and quality compliance, as well as precise production reporting, are major responsibilities of this role. Wage range $20.00/hr to $24.00/hr, based on knowledge and experienceWhat You Will Do: ResponsibilitiesOperate a stamping press and auxiliary equipment with manual and automated packaging processesMeet and/or exceed daily production goalsReport all machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisorsAssist mechanics whenever required to keep press/packaging equipment operationalCorrectly feed slit ribbon material into the stamping dies and perform first piece inspectionManually pack metal connectors and/or steel components into packaging containers.Strive to keep product waste to a minimum; inspect finished products and mark steel lot numbers on shipping containersMonitor production equipment coolant and oil levels and adjust accordinglyOngoing inspection of products being produced to our internal quality standardsComplete quality and production paperwork in its entirety throughout assigned shiftAttendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty.

This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.QualificationsHigh School/GED preferredUp to 1 Year related experience and/or training preferredEquivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basisAble to perform mathematical skills such as calculating proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and able to apply concepts of basic geometryAbility to read and understand prints and schematicsAbility to use small hand-power tools, including reading a tape measure with 1/32-inch incrementsAble to use Microsoft Office ApplicationsSoft SkillsGood communicationProblem solvingAdaptabilityCollaborationAdditional Requirements Physical DemandsThis is a physical position that requires the individual to be able to: stand, walk and carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull and crouch.
