Machine Maintenance SpecialistJoin our team as a Machine Maintenance Specialist in Lexington, KY! We have partnered with a leading CNC Machine Tool Builder in need of CNC Field Service Engineers. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of CNC machine tools across various customer sites nationwide.

Your expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, diagnostic skills, and customer-centric approach will be key to delivering top-notch service. This position reports to the CNC Field Service Manager and is available for candidates located East of the Mississippi, preferably near an airport or in states like IL, TN, KY, AL, and OH.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement new CNC machine tool systems with all options and accessories at customer locationsConduct machine leveling, geometry checks, and final adjustments to ensure optimal performanceDiagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and application-related issuesIdentify root causes of problems and propose repair or replacement solutionsOffer technical support through various communication channels, both on-site and remotelyAssist customers, distributors, and internal teams with technical advice and issue resolutionDeliver training to customers and aid in project coordination when necessaryProvide service support at trade shows and company events as neededMaintain comprehensive service documentation and reportsTravel extensively, including overnight stays and occasional weekend travelPerform any other required dutiesRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machine tool maintenance and service (both electrical and mechanical aspects)At least 5 years of experience providing remote technical support in the machine tool industryDemonstrated expertise in installing and servicing machining centers, including leveling and geometric alignmentProficiency in PLC programming and troubleshootingExperience with CNC control systems, particularly FANUC controlsSound knowledge of power circuits and industrial electrical systemsStrong skills in troubleshooting, communication, and customer serviceWillingness to travel extensively during weekdays (up to 100%) and work independently
