General Production WorkerThe candidate will be working at the end of the production line, loading extra material into a grinder to recycle plastic components.ResponsibilitiesLoad extra material into a grinder for plastic recycling.Train on the first shift for 3 weeks before transitioning to a 2:30pm - 10:30pm shift.Work overtime as needed, including early starts or staying late by 4 hours, and some Saturdays.Participate in mandatory 12-hour shifts for hourly employees.Essential Skills6 months of recent manufacturing experience, currently in a manufacturing job or within the last 30 days.Ability to lift 40 lbs, including plastic and foam car hoods.Visual inspection experience, identifying defects like scratches, paint marks, and dents.Longevity at each job, with at least 8 months or longer at past 3 jobs.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical skills.Machine operating experience.Why Work Here?Employees will receive a shift premium even while training. Work alongside another OP1 with an OP3 overseeing the machine. Required attire includes work pants, work shirt, closed-toed shoes, and safety glasses. Long fingernails are prohibited for safety reasons. Openings are available on the 3rd shift from 10:30pm to 6:30am.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.55 - $17.55/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
