Machine Learning Researcher

Contribute to advanced AI training work by creating, solving, reviewing, and validating challenging machine learning engineering tasks. This coding-intensive contract role focuses on model development, training and inference systems, numerical computing, and performance optimization using Python.

• Develop and validate machine learning models, training pipelines, inference systems, and supporting infrastructure.
• Implement model components, data pipelines, evaluation systems, and numerical methods.
• Build reproducible workflows with Python and command-line tools.
• Implement or modify models, construct reproducible training or inference workflows, optimize memory use or throughput, debug numerical or system-level failures, and verify objective correctness and performance requirements.

• Master''s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
• Strong professional or research experience in machine learning.
• Practical proficiency with Python and coding agents. Comparable tools may be considered when supported by directly relevant expertise.
• Experience in an established technology company, AI laboratory, research organization, or other recognized engineering environment is strongly preferred. Exceptional open-source or academic experience may also qualify.

• Global, fully remote independent contractor engagement.
• Approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility to choose working days and hours, including weekends if preferred.
• Roles are typically filled within 48 hours. Selected candidates should be ready to begin immediately and complete their first task within 24 to 48 hours after onboarding.

• Compensation is stated at $60 to $120 per hour.
• Payment is output-based and issued for each task that meets project specifications. Time required per task varies by experience and workflow, and minimum submission requirements apply.
