Machine Learning Engineer
As an experienced AI and ML engineer, you will train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data to support defense technology solutions. You will lead mission‑critical AI initiatives that enable faster mission success, collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, solutions architects, and product owners, and guide clients through AI strategy and solution design.
Responsibilities
- Own and define the direction of AI solutions for national security use cases.
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models, including deep learning, computer vision, and generative AI.
- Conduct statistical analyses and model validation on large datasets.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver world‑class AI solutions.
- Advise clients on ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in artificial intelligence, data science, or machine learning engineering, including developing and deploying models.
- Proficiency in Python and libraries such as scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Experience coding with Python, C++, Rust, or Java.
- Hands‑on experience with deep learning, computer vision, or generative AI.
- Data handling and model development expertise.
- Ability to solve technical client problems.
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred
- Experience with generative and agentic AI technologies such as LLMs, MCP, LangChain, or LangGraph.
- Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning.
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Projected compensation range: $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 annualized USD.

Work Model
Employees may work remotely, in hybrid, or onsite depending on the role. Remote positions may require occasional in‑person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility. Hybrid positions may require frequent onsite presence at a Booz Allen facility and customer visits. Onsite positions are primarily performed at an office or customer location.
